Equipping young people with the skills and platforms to shape their future || Empowering communities to prevent conflict and strengthen resilience
Our Story and Journey
Peacelinks Sierra Leone was born out of a simple but powerful idea that communities have the strength to heal, rebuild, and lead change when given the right space and support. Emerging in the aftermath of conflict, the organization used arts, dialogue, and youth engagement to help individuals and communities process trauma, rebuild trust, and reconnect. Over time, this grassroots movement evolved into a nationally recognized peacebuilding organization, working across districts to address the root causes of conflict and exclusion.
For over two decades, Peacelinks has remained grounded in communities, listening, learning, and adapting its approach to meet changing realities. Its work has expanded to include youth leadership, civic engagement, and governance, while staying true to its founding purpose of fostering peace and social cohesion.
